Rubbish experience, subscribed via Google Play. The last couple of weeks the app has been recognising my log in, but saying no subscription is associated with the account & have reached my limit of 20 free articles! I have tried the usual, cleared the cache, re installed the app etc, nothing works, yes my subscription is up to date. Poor customer service, reported issues via app's chat bot type service & email -promised contact within 48hrs. No-one has got back to me.

Update: I was complaining about downloads not working, but the response suggested it was client side, so I wiped the cache/data and did a clean install and it's sorted now. Great app, I don't know why people are complaining about the UI, it's way better than other news apps I use

When I didn't have to create an account to get access to incredible information and reporting it was great. Me and every other person I know are so sick of making accounts, being slammed with ads, mined for data, and/or paying subscriptions for everything. So why companies keep pursuing these options is truly beyond me.

App asks me to sign in, but then opens a browser web page (not app) which says I'm already signed in. Browser version works but when switching back to the app the app says in red text that I've failed captcha - although I haven't had to click on a box or do any of the usual manual captcha tests. So app is broken, real website is ok.

Excellent coverage worldwide including the US. The app itself works smoothly with no issues. I prefer this to a paper newspaper for it's ease of navigation, clear reading and handling, and much smaller climate impact. I have my news with me whenever I want to read it, with updates through the day.

I have a long term subscription. Whilst the app still works on my phone it started playing up on my Huawei tablet with constant "accept cookies " on every page opening. I uninstalled it with a view to reinstalling but it now doesn't appear in Play Store. Has the latest upgrade made it incompatible? If so will the Guardian buy me a new tablet so I can continue to access it?

The recent update has ruined my Guardian experience unfortunately. Before the removal of the personalised homepage, I only had to open the app to instantly see the latest football news. Simple. Now, I have to open the app... then navigate to My Guardian... then navigate to Football. There's nothing user friendly about that. Why can't I just read the football news in the My Guardian section? Because they give you only THREE stories to choose from. Useless.

Awful new layout. Separating topics I'm interested in into a new tab, rather than integrating it into the main feed, makes the app so much less engaging. There's no flow any more, just news the Guardian wants me to read, no matter whether I'm interested in it or not. It's a dreadful update.

Unusable I'm asked to register or log in. When I click to register it loops me back to exactly the same sign in page. I tried clicking log in instead, but no difference. I can't access the content at all. Fed up with it, now I am just going to remove the app completely.
