Great news app, well layed out and with CBS news integrity behind it. Sadly, like so many news agencies, they don't understand what "breaking news" is, so you get mostly alerts that are just story alerts, not breaking news happening right now. Updated: I gave the app a second chance, and had turned off all notifications. Yet I continue to get pop-ups for things that are not breaking news.

Every time I click into a story that pops up I continuously get an error message that the app stops working. I can either, close the app and lose the story, wait and have the error message pop up, or click send feedback and wait to have the error message pop up again. I'm considering uninstalling and just going directly to their website on mobile because that seems to be more stable... For reference this issue has been happening with this app for over 3 years and it's very frustrating.

The news seem pretty unbiased and to the point, plus give good coverage on current topics and important information. EDIT: Okay, after reading CBS News for a few months, it definitely isn't objective, but I guess it's hard to expect more when the main source of funding isn't readers but sponsors. But hey, at least the problem with the app loading time has been fixed.

It sends notifications but won't open the app to read or watch.

Previous version was simple and easy to use, never had any issues. This new update has made it crash several times. Too many glitches with this update. Uninstalling it. To the developers: stop trying to "improve" apps that don't need improvement. We average users are tired of the "wow factor" of "improved" user interface. This used to be my go-to app when I needed quick news info, now it's too cumbersome with too much visual/user interface.

Ad after ad, after ad, three or more per page. Rediculous.

Not bad, but not great either. The Internet has destroyed objective journalism, in general, and almost everything here is watered down. The only thing that's close to being objective is 60 Minutes (which, thankfully, is included), yet it's not easy to find a subject there unless you know the broadcast date or it's the most recent available broadcast of 60 Minutes. I'd like a chance to catch up on episodes I missed.

I would give this app 5 stars but for the last 2 months it keeps stopping & "loading" and doesn't pickup where it left off. So I miss about 45 seconds of what they are saying and then 2 or 3 minutes later it does it again. There are days it only does it every 10 or 15 minutes and days it does it every few minutes. It is not my internet connection as that works well & I'm alone with only this app running.
