Criminal behaviour, they are going to stop development on an app I already own so they can start charging $29.99 per year for new features. Well, Aqua Mail, get f***ed. It's a reasonable email app but certainly not worth the money they now want to charge for it. Greed, pure and simple.

Bait and Switch, paid for the pro license and been using this app for many many years, but having paid for the upgrade and supported them from the start to now lose the benefits we paid for because they want to join the subscription fad is bang out of order. Why not have pro unlockers have the features they paid for and just charge the new users the subscription. *updated to 2 stars as developer is looking at a lifetime migration option - will review rating once that goes live*

It was decent but now they want people who already paid for their pro app to pay for a subscription. They only offer a 1 time discount for previous pro users, then after the 1st year it goes back to a full price yearly subscription. To top it off, they're taking away features you've ALREADY been enjoying/paid for. They also can't offer support after September 23. Slap in the face to loyal users. Edit: I guess enough ppl complained bc they're allowing pro migration. Leaving review until update.

After many years of useful improvements, still a great email app for managing multiple email accounts, folders (IMAP connection), encryption, save as PDF/EML. Never regretted my one time payment (PRO, no subscription) and recommended it without any reserve. Edit 06-08-2023 PRO no more available, and after some initial issues, dev fully took into account users feedback, and offered a good migration path. Many thanks to him and best wishes for the future. 5 stars confirmed !

Been a great email client for years and paid for the pro version. As it is now going to an annual subscription model am looking for alternatives clients. Interesting that Thunderbird for Android is being released soon so will move away from Aquamail as I also use Thunderbird as my windows desktop client.

edit: dev boiler-plate response doesn't make it better. I read the support page before posting this review. I bought Aqiamail Pro but now Aquamail is abandoning us in favor of subscription based features. They say it will continue to work as long as Android supports the feature, but why not tranfer the license into the Aquamail app? When it stops working I'll find another app rather than give them more money.

Used to be my primary email app for many years, unfortunately they are changing from a one time cost, to a subscription based business model. Looks like I will not continue being a customer for the years to come if they cut out the features. Yet another company to get sucked into the subscription model for business.

I really like this app, but the latest version has too many intrusive adds. I would buy the app if it had e-mail filter rules as found in other apps or outlook. Update 12/9/23 I have Temu installed on my phone, so why do I keep getting Temu adds which run for 9 or 10 secs inviting me to install something I already have?
