New terms of service are horrendous. The final nail in the coffin is being charged the $2 fee to transfer my money after I was already charged the seller fees. They are double dipping. Customer service does nothing but give canned responses or snarky ones. If you're here over the new ToS also file a complaint with the better business bureau. I've also seen people say contact your states attorney general. I am done with this app. I don't care that it's only $2, it's the principle.

Mercari is now the DoorDash of shopping apps and not in a good way. overnight they made a sudden change to many of their policies which they framed as being positive. In reality it tacked on a ton of extra fees for buyers, including a shipping fee, tax, processing fee and service fee. not friendly for buyers. they now will allow all returns for any reason because that's easier than catching scammers, AI bots, and having real customer service. FU.

I love selling on this app and the selling fee being removed is nice. My only problem is I cannot contact anyone anymore about my listings. For some reason the promote button decreases the price by a lot. One of my listings is $11 and 10% off for likers would be $9.90 but the liting goes down to $6.40 which i am not interested in selling this item for that little. This has been a problem for about a year. I figure it chooses the lower price the item was lited with or what will sell faster.

Mercari has now implemented buyer fees. I have not been informed of any of this until right before I was about to check out today. The item should have been ~$40, but with these egregious fees, it's now over $45. The fees are percentage based so the more expensive the item you're buying, the more the fees are. These do not benefit the seller at all and only benefit Mercari. This app used to pride itself on its lack of fees compared to eBay, but they're worse than them now!

I have found so many awesome deals! ive only recieved one item so far, but it arrived exactly how it described. Shipping costs can get a bit seep, but often times you can negotiate on prices which makes it worthwhile. I had an issue with a spam call after making a purchase. I would recommend using a secondary app like cashapp, PayPal or Zell that's not directly associated with your account. (the scammer spoofed my banks number so always know that they will never ask for your password etc.)

Takes a $30 product and turns it into a $40 purchase? Processing fee, tax, and some other fee, with shipping, always equals an extra $10 no matter what the product or price. Was wondering why people stopped buying my products too, pretty sure this app killed itself with its endless fees. Suggest finding a different app, will be deleting

App has gone downhill. They pretend that removing selling fees was a good thing. Meanwhile, they dumped on more fees to the buyers to cover the cost of that, and added a $2 fee for a direct deposit instead of free for the seller. There are also a lot more SCAMMERS posting fake listings than before, that fake shipping on USPS. Once I move my money over, I'll uninstall this app and say goodbye to Mercari. Been descent for 6 years, but this is bad.

Used to be a great platform for buying and selling, but recent changes have ruined both. Buyers are expected to pay extra fees on top of shipping, which aren't made clear before you start the check-out process. Buyers can also return items for any reason now, so sellers are worried about having their items stolen or swapped and then returned. There is also a fee to withdraw your funds, which did not exist before. If you are looking for a good buying or selling app, keep looking.

They have NO customer service. I have been trying all week to update my banking information so I can deposit funds from items I sold, they're refusing to help me set up a new bank account. It takes 24 hours for each bot to paste an automatic message with no help. They absolutely refuse to help me, now I've lost product and money. They've stolen from me refuse to help resolve the problem. I'm taking the hit, deleting the ap. If you're a seller don't risk losing money and items. Big nope.
