Update: Still no dark mode but there are ads on the homepage now. The downfall of this app is there's no dark mode. Usually it works ok, with some occasional connectivity issues. But, without dark mode, it blinds you if you want to use it at night. Also, it definitely tells the police when you're using your phone. Also, the home page will say there's something new to read but the appropriate section is never marked, so you can't figure out what the app wants you to see. It will blind you!

Pros: useful, helps with letting family and friends in as well as contractors. Cons: door open / closed registration has been historical slow. Most recent update exacerbated the issue and now... You stare at ads on the front page instead of the shopping page. I already purchased your product, I see your product every day, literally... I don't need rotating ads to remind me to buy more of your products.

The app works great, but increasing required permissions earn my disapproval. Now they REQUIRE my location to add a device? The last thing I want is my location associated with my garage door that can be opened from anywhere in the world. Baseline security is severely lacking with these "improvements". Update: Now the UI is harder to distinguish garage door icon status. Maybe this is the Google material design? Regardless, every release is like 3 steps backwards in security and usability.

Unfortunately, the only part of this app that works for me is all of the adds, which I have absolutely no interest in. I want to watch the live feed in my garage and all it does is spins, and says something is wrong. Can't see anything. Also, when my door does open or close, i get the notification of that 20 to 30 minutes later.It really has become worthless

It's great to be able to check the status of my garage doors, but the app seriously needs better Android Auto integration. When I'm coming in on my motorcycle, it's difficult - and dangerous - to fiddle with my phone. I'm riding a 900+lb bike, any distraction can be catastrophic. Update: A year later and the only thing that's changed is now I don't have to log in every bloody time. Still no integration with Google home or Android Auto.

It's a very nice app and a great convenience but the new home screen banner is terrible and blocks me from being able to see all of my garages without scrolling. Please change it so that it was the way it was, such that we don't either a, have a banner or b, have the ability to change our preferences and remove it from our home screen. Thank you.

It works about every 2 in 5 times. Reliability is practically pointless. Yes opener is compatible and of course resynced a few times. I can be 10 feet or 50 feet from router and nothing. Usually have to go to garage and manually activate. Fun part is the unit then tells me it's now in open or close status. In short whatever the tech used on openers it must be dark ages or poorly thought out versus good old direct connect.

Garbage. Stay away from myQ products. App doesn't work. I can log in. that's it. after logging in, the app hangs (blank white screen). killing and restarting doesn't help. I contacted support and they told me it was a known issue and that myQ doesn't support OnePlus brand phones and they were working on it. it's been 2 years since then with no fix.

A recent update includes a banner ad on the screen used to control your garage door. It causes the app to load slower and is a general eyesore. I contacted support and despite the fact that it is their app and they support it, they could not assist me with disabling it, insisting that they are required. Looking for alternatives now.
