I bought the premium version of the app to learn Japanese. I am 1 wk into the app working 2-3hrs/day & deep into ch 7 of A1. Busuu seemed to provide the best balance of the main Aps. I am disappointed in the community base experience. I heard great things about how there were opportunities to make real acquaintances to get interactive feedback from native speakers. They seemed to have neutered this aspect. Also, mid-lesson, you can't go back to review a previous slide.

I like this app and bought an annual plan but there are some buzz kills abt it. First, even a single letter typo makes the exercise fail which is pretty annoying esp when you write a long sentence and make a simple typo. Second, I love the practice of the previously learned words and grammar but now it got into a bug and doesn't correctly update the status of words as well learned even if I answer the exercises correctly and ask the same group of words again and again.

I liked this app to start but then felt it started to get confusing grammar wise. I also dislike having to correct others people's exercises and I don't want them correcting mine. I'm also more interested in Spanish from Mexico than Spanish from Spain and so I don't care so much for listening to native speakers from Spain, I have found the Latin Spanish but if you take the placement test it puts you in the Spain Spanish not the Latin American. But mostly the correcting exercises ruins it for me.

I really like this app, it focuses more on grammar un like other apps. One of my only complains is that when I started using the app on my browser on my laptop it really messed up my app on my phone. Like having to logout to see the updated level progress and my word review completely messed up by showing me only 100 learned words instead of my 500. Please fix this bug.

Fine until you get to a2 chapter 6, then the course uses vocabulary and grammar far beyond what they have taught. It feels unhelpful and disappointing. What's funny is that in chapter 4 it was introducing ser and estar, which are early beginner concepts, making the extreme leap in difficulty even more dissonant.

The context is well, and I can see someone going to different Countries and displaying their new studied languages from this app.. that's the biggest test for ANYONE of any nationality. I honestly can't differentiate if it's actually how the people communicate, or just a text book version. That's my biggest ultimatum when dealing with this app. I already give it an 8/10. It may bump a couple notches.

The Polish course starts off well, but after the first stage the quality deteriorates to a very low standard. No explanations, vocabulary introduced at random and revision exercises seemingly unrelated to what you have learnt. I would not recommend Busuu if you want to learn Polish. (On the other hand the French course is good).

I took screenshots of the first pages proceeding to sign up after selecting the language you chose. I was hoping to share what I saw, but I suppose I couldn't. The first word to introduce me was supposed to say, "Hello!" In Russian. Even using Google translate identified the first letter was missing, Rivet was all it showed. 1st impression, not a promising one. Exiting the app. since I'd not like to be misled/disappointed further. What happened to proofreading?!

Highly recommend this app for Italian learners! The course is very good and explains the grammar rules very well, while allowing you to soak up some vocab. The ability to get corrections and ratings of your excersizes from native speakers is a valuable feature. Unlike duolingo, busuu explains the patterns in grammar and vocab so you can understand them and apply them to constructing sentences rather than just memorizing phrases. Great stuff.
